Theater District.
The Theater District, is a 17-block area in the heart of downtown. It's home to Houston's eight world-class performing arts organizations, the 130,000 square-foot Bayou Place entertainment complex, plus a diverse group of restaurants, movies, plazas and parks. Houston is one of only five cities in the United States with permanent professional resident companies in all of the major performing arts disciplines - opera, ballet, music and theater.

Museum District

Heights historical district
Houston Heights is a diverse small town community in the heart of Houston. It was developed in 1891 as the first master-planned community in Texas and was a marvel of its time. To this day, streetcars filled with tourists come to see this area where grand Victorian mansions and quaint homes coexist in harmony.
